A new and exciting oppportunity for 6 Commodity Managers to lead the growth and transformation of Purchasing at Lotus as part of our Vision 80 journey! Reporting to the Head of Purchasing, the Purchasing Commodity Managers will lead strategy development, deployment and drive commercial performance for given commodity group. Build and maintain a strong working relationship with Engineering matched pair within respective “BICEPS” group (Body, Interior, Chassis, Electrical, Propulsion, Structures). Own and develop relationships with Suppliers and critical stakeholders. Maintain an in depth understanding of the market, supplier sourcing, risk and performance management.
Ensure delivery of cost performance improvements.
Lead Negotiations with Suppliers including planning and execution.
Work with Engineering to deliver and implement Cost & Technology roadmaps.
Develop and implement strategies (commodity & sourcing).
Lead responsibility for sourcing projects.
Delegate where appropriate to Senior Buyers.
Manage current production supply ensuring cost optimised sustainable material availability.
Product Engineering, Programme Management Team, Finance
Manage, coach and develop high performing team players to meet agreed objectives.
Review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required.
Ensure that the function operates in compliance with policies and procedures.
Relevant Business/Commercial or Manufacturing/Engineering Degree is preferred
MCIPS qualified or equivalent.
Proven experience in a Purchasing Management role, preferably within a manufacturing organisation, ideally automotive (OEM / Tier 1).
Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.
Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes and components and Supply Chain Management.
Full UK Driving license
