Project Engineer - Systems

An Exciting opportunity to become a Signalling Project Engineer for our client, a tier 1 global contractor within the railway industry. You must come from an electronic system background within, rail, aviation or marine. You will be given a structured training programme for 6 - 18 months to learn about signalling systems within the railway as well as support to get your chartership and licences.

Responsibilities

Support the Project Engineering Manager or Principal Project Engineer to deliver the Project Engineering activities on a project.
The role is based at a project location within the UK and travel to other project locations, client offices and design offices will need to be undertaken when necessary.
Ensure engineering delivery and technical change is integrated with design, possession planning, installation, test, other disciplines and provide a mechanism for effective communications throughout the SS&I business.
Support SS&I business development with tendering activities ensuring the quality of estimates, system description, system architectures, implementation strategies and

Must have minimum 3 years system engineering experience
Must be driven to learn and progress
Must have an understanding of the system lifecycle
Must be willing to travel when needed

Desired

Railway background
Understanding of signalling
Relevant qualifications/ licences to systems
