Our Client are a leading consultancy service that specialise in projects within the civil engineering and infrastructure sector.

They currently require the services of an ECC Site Supervisor to oversee a portfolio of Environment Agency projects across Wales.

As a Site Supervisor you will:

produce monthly H&S progress reports (using the Client's standard format) to be presented at monthly progress meetings.
seek to identify areas where alternative design solutions could potentially mitigate construction risks and highlight these to the project team.
monitor and report to the ECC Project Manager and / or Client on the Contractor's progress in keeping as built records of the works undertaken.
monitor and report to the ECC Project Manager and / or Client on the progress made by the Contractor in addressing and closing out any issues raised in formal reports including, but not limited to: Client audits, Contractor safety inspection reports, green book entries, Considerate Constructors Scheme reports;
consider whether the Contractor has given sufficient attention to planning and management throughout the construction phase and advise the ECC Project Manager and / or Client and Contractor's site management team should there be cause for concern.
consider whether any emergency plans as identified within the Construction Phase Plan (CPP) are sufficient (practical, robust, timely) and advise the ECC Project Manager and / or Client and Contractor's site management team if there are concerns over its content.
check that the emergency plans are practiced on a regular basis.
monitor the Contractor's compliance with the requirements of the Client's Safety, health, environment, and wellbeing code of practice (SHEW CoP), particularly with regard to Risk Assessment and Method Statement reviews and Accident / Incident and Near Miss reporting.
assist the Client in any safety investigations. Monitor and report to the ECC Project Manager and / or Client on the progress that the Contractor makes in discharging his responsibility to provide an immediate and root cause accident report within 14 working days of the incident occurring.
monitor and report on the progress made by the Contractor in reviewing and updating the Site Waste Management right candidates will obtain the below qualifications / accreditation's:

Current CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or IOSH Managing Safely in Construction qualification.
Current CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) qualification and the CITB/CIRIA environmental awareness training or an approved equivalent training course
Have attended CIRIA's 'Environmental Good Practice on Site' training or CITB 'Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme within the last five years.
hold the CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) qualification and the CITB/CIRIA environmental awareness training or an approved equivalent training course.
