Because we want you to get off to the best start with us we are giving you an extra £250 to you when you first start with us, and then when you are settled in in 6 months' time we will give you an extra £250 for your hard work.
We are a small and nurturing home in Wisbech that cares for young people between the ages of 8-18 with emotional and behavioural needs. We currently care for three young people but are looking to increase occupancy in the near future.
Our young people are supported at the home and in the community and are encouraged to undertake various activities and hobbies to increase their confidence and sense of belonging. We have a lovely home that supports independence and self-care skills so the young people can be independent in the future. We are currently rated as Good with Ofsted but hope to improve on this further. Everyone that visits talks about how homely and child focused the home is.
The role involves day to day care for our young people, ensuring their needs are being met and that they feel cared for and valued. The expectation around maintaining the ethos and boundaries of the home are to a high standard. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate forward thinking, planning and maintaining the systems already in place.
We strive to give our young people as many new experiences as possible and to provide them with the right tools to break the cycle of negative behaviour. We aim to give the young people different coping strategies via positive role modelling and positive rewards for positive behaviour.
It is essential requirement for this role that the successful candidate has 3 years driving experience and a driving clean license
As a Support Worker at our home in Wisbech, you can expect to work a 15 hour shift including 8-10 sleep ins per month. The sleep in rate is £35 per shift.
