We’re recruiting on behalf of a prestigious manufacturer with a heritage spanning multiple generations, renowned for the design, innovation and manufacture of a leading, luxury product.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Team Leader – Wire Drawing to join their site in Scunthorpe.

In the role you will ensure the daily smooth running of the manufacturing area which includes all Wire Drawing machines, stock control and despatch.

Responsibilities:

Control and deploy the process workforce to meet their daily targets.
Ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and escalation procedures followed.
Supervising and leading the wire production team incl. managing employee holidays, working hours and absence management.
Motivate, coach, train and give recognition to the operators.
Monitor quality of products, ensuring all quality procedures are adhered to in line with the ISO16001.
Ensure all health and safety documents are signed and procedures followed and assess risks.
Liaise with production planning, customer service and the spring team leaders, ensuring a smooth production workflow between shifts.
Ensure housekeeping and 5S is kept the correct standard throughout the you:

Good understanding of OEE, along with Lean manufacturing and how this works.
Needs to be an intermediate Excel use.
Supervisory experience is essential.
Wire Drawing Experience preferred but not essential.
ILM Certification (or equivalent) or willing to undertake during next 12 months.
Able to manage own time and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
Good communication skills.
Self-motivated, displays integrity and able to work under pressure.
Promotes :

7am - 3:30pm Mon-Thurs / 7am - 2:30pm Fri

Salary

£28, per annum (£ per hour)
