We have an opportunity for an Editorial Assistant who will be a qualified journalist with experience and interest in digital products and magazines. You will be working on Archant Bride, our beautiful portfolio of regional wedding magazines.

You may be recently qualified (NCTJ or equivalent) and looking for your first role but have gained some experience in sourcing and creating editorial content for magazines and digital products. The magazine's portfolio includes Norfolk & Suffolk Bride, A Kentish Ceremony, A Suffolk Ceremony and Celebrate in Norfolk; glossy magazines packed with real wedding stories, inspirational style, information on planning the perfect day and the best advice from brides and wedding experts.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a writer to join a team that thrives on enthusiasm and excellence. This full-time opportunity allows you to work from home and will sometimes involve being able to visit our Norwich Office.

WHAT WILL I DO?

  • Source and create editorial and commercial content for magazines and digital products.

  • Upload magazine content and other content to the websites.

  • Social media for Bride editorial products.

  • Source and organise competitions and giveaways for the portfolio of digital products and occasional magazine competitions/giveaways. Checking these for legality, and sorting entries.

  • Source and administer editorial information.

  • Liaise with colleagues across the Bride team, clients and interviewees.

  • Support the editorial team and look for opportunities and systems to enhance and develop the products.

  • Assist in the planning, execution and coverage of Bride's photoshoots

YOU WILL HAVE:

  • NCTJ qualification in Journalism or equivalent
  • Experience in editorial, marketing & digital environment
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal
  • A keen interest in print and digital journalism and the weddings industry
  • Strong organisational skills
