Project & Access Planner

This is an excellent opportunity to join our partner, working across Northern Ireland supporting their major infrastructure programmes. Our client has an excellent reputation of providing a safe, reliable, and efficient rail network across Great Britain & Northern Ireland, and the projects that they deliver although focused on Rail solutions, also involve a considerable amount of civils work as part of the overall programmes of work.

The Role:

Report into and work closely with the Framework Manager and report into the various Project and Senior Project Managers working across the Framework.
Responsible for the creation and updating of cost and resource loaded project programmes and the co-ordination of project management activities.
Responsible for the creation of project programmes using Primavera and other applications from high level GRIP 3 and 4 documents from the client to produce fully resourced programmes within the timescales specified.
Hold regular reviews with Construction / Project Manager & Access Planners (if appropriate) within their assigned area to monitor job deliverables against plans, circulating work-to-do lists and actions or recovery plans as required, and to provide ‘look ahead’ information.
Provide the client with updated programmes and information and support the creation of management reports.
You will be cross trained internally to manage Access Planning for our teams’ works, liaising with the Client to ensure that this is booked and reflected in the weekly notices issued for the Railway infrastructure in Northern Ireland.
You will assist Engineers in arranging for Safety Critical staff, working closely with Project Engineers, Supervisors, and Resourcing Teams.

The Requirements:

3+ years’ experience in project planning within a construction or engineering environment.
Highly organised and able to manage/ prioritised competing demands on your time.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of project planning software applications, such as Primavera P6/P3/P3e, or SureTrak, MS Project.

Additional Information:

This role will involve travel across NI, so the successful candidate must be able to drive and have their own transport
