A growing medical practice is seeking a competent and enthusiastic Operations Manager to support the day to day running of services and enable the practice to meet the challenges of the primary care environment. The Operations Manager will be undertaking several supervisory activities to support the management and partners in the delivery of high quality and sustainable care. As an Operations Manager your duties will include: - Taking responsibility for non-clinical staff taking a lead in HR management, handling complaints, and working closely with the management to implement new systems and processes as required. - Deputising for the Manager in their absence and undertaking a varied workload allocated by the management or GP partners. - Assisting with all IT issues including training, H&S and have the ability to project manage new IT initiatives. - Identifying the need for your own training and that of others; drawing up and co-ordinating induction and training programmes for new staff. - Assisting with the reviewing, updating and implementation of practice policies, procedures, protocols and systems throughout the practice. - Overseeing the claims process for work undertaken as part of national or local enhanced services and all national screening programmes. Providing reports, submissions as required and report any discrepancies.
To be successful in this Operations role you will have the following skills and experience: - A proven track record of IT skills and staff management; managing teams, motivating staff, recruitment, appraisal and training. - Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with patients, staff, partners, the general public and others. - Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary. - NHS GP experience is desirable but not essential.
