MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

As the brand ambassador for Travel Retail, the Director leads our strategy across the EMEAI region. The role covers Product, Commercial, Planning and Shipping.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Management

  • Drive sales results and ensure financial target are met supporting and working with AE and Planning Team to reach OTB on a seasonal basis.
  • Leads self and others in setting and attaining stretch goals within a continually evolving environment. Overcomes obstacles and takes responsibility for outcomes.
  • Nurture and develop existing partnerships ensuring the brand remains an essential & key partner across all TR partners, existing and new.
  • Ongoing review and assessment of new opportunities ensuring profitability is the key driver.
  • Present to VP Wholesale any new projects for review and approval.
  • Responsible for all commercial terms negotiation
  • Establish the Authorized Dealer Agreement with the US Legal team across all partners.
  • Lead the Global Travel Retail Monthly business review and ensure cohesion of management of same accounts across region
  • Partners closely with Marketing on in-store training and events to adapt to the TR channel where possible.
  • Ensures sales team verifies all orders are properly entered and checked in system prior to deadline, and that any changes/cancellations/additions are verified by sales team via customer service.
  • Monitors the tracking of customer bookings by the AEs to allow visibility to senior management with the goal of ensuring sales targets are met and maintained throughout the season.
  • Manages sales team in process of ensuring timely shipping to all accounts, including close monitoring of any credit issues that may affect shipments.
  • Working closely with the US & EMEA store development teams to optimize cost per sqm and develop in partnership new elements suited to the TR environment.
  • Attend annual TFWA seminar in Cannes.

Budget Management

  • Ownership & management of the capex budget while optimizing cost per sqm.
  • Responsible for the management of team travel expenses, coop salaries, marketing budgets reviewing on a regular basis with the Commercial Financial Team.

Product

  • Oversees assortment building process with AEs to ensure corporate strategies are maintained and in line with expectations
  • Attends seasonal buy seminar with all TR partners in order to provide feedback with regards to product and assortment.
  • Work closely with the GTR team to develop and agree key growth areas at product category level.
  • Drive key focused groups for the GTR product needs with Merch Team within the EMEAI and US teams.

Team

  • Manage effectively the team and ensure you lead by example.
  • Provides growth opportunities, feedback and coaching to develop employees.
  • Ensure wellbeing is a focus to enable the team to perform at their best.

Communication and Conduct

  • Serves as an ambassador for the company by developing strong partnerships and maintaining excellent interpersonal skills with all partners internally and externally..
  • Builds a strong team spirit within the MK sales team (wholesale, retail and corporate)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience within a retail/wholesale sales leadership position with proven knowledge of the Accessories and/or Travel Retail.
  • Previous experience within an international retail environment is essential ideally within the EMEA market.
  • A proven business partner with demonstrable success of driving strategic goals alongside internal and external colleagues.
  • A strong communicator and influencer who is eager to learn.
  • Team leadership experience is preferred.
  • Self-motivated and resilient and the ability to identify opportunities and use initiative.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
