Secondary school in the Warrington area is looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support team during the first few weeks of the new academic year. This highly reputable secondary school is considered a very good school, serving a diverse population of students. As a result, the school are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience in supporting and working with young people with Autism and ADHD. These students are integrated into mainstream learning with their peers but require additional assistance from an assistant who can work with them on a one to one basis and provide more tailored teaching to supplement the main class teacher. This role will suit a confident and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant or someone who has experience in this area.
The role of the SEN Teaching Assistant will be include working with students in the SEN provision and resource centre building relationships with students quickly and making the learning environment as comfortable as possible. This is a full time TA position starting during the first few weeks of the upcoming academic year in September.

The school has an on site resource centre which is overseen by the special educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO) as well as a Learning Support Assistant Leader. The successfully appointed SEN Teaching Assistant will benefit from becoming part of this large support team who collaborate and work together regularly.
