Admin / Customer Services Assistant

Our client is a leading provider of loft ladder installation and loft storage services within the domestic and commercial markets, based in Northfleet , covering London and the South East.

This is a company that is growing rapidly and because of this is looking for someone to join the team to provide strong administrative support in the areas of the back of house and customer service.

This newly formed role would suit someone who is highly organised, with previous experience of dealing with customers by telephone, diary management, reconciling payments using accounting software, email management and general admin.

As expected in a small office, being able to work as part of a team or independently under your own initiative is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with all email, telephone and website enquiries
  • Managing the live chat facility on the website
  • Dealing with daily queries from customers and installers
  • CRM database management, ensuring that all records are kept up to date and comply with GDPR regulations
  • Booking of all jobs
  • Researching and developing relationships with suppliers to get the best price on materials
  • Ordering of materials
  • Carrying out follow up calls with clients post job completion, to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Keeping all HR records up to date, and the company compliant with any HR legislative changes by working closely with the outsourced provider
  • Liaising with the IT support company to deal with any IT issues
  • Reconciliation of all customer and supplier payments within Xero
  • Ordering of stationery

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of using accounting software, ideally Xero
  • Experience of dealing with customers on a regular basis over the phone
  • Strong administrative skills
  • An ability to pick things up quickly and spot opportunities to improve efficiencies
  • Confident with key Microsoft applications . Excel, Word


  • Experience of using CRM systems such as ServiceM8
