Job Role: Airport Planner

Location: London

Salary: £40- £45K per year

Start: ASAP

An opportunity has arisen for an Airport Planner to join an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services. Through the work our client undertakes they can make a positive difference in the world. The successful candidate will take responsibility within the Airport Development team for tasks relating to some or all of the following:

  • The Role of the Airport Planner

  • • Undertaking Demand/Capacity Analysis

  • • Developing terminal facility requirements

  • • Developing baggage facility requirements

  • • Participating in and driving the development of simulation models (terminal and/or airfield)

  • • Management of airport planning tasks and small projects
  • Essential Experience of the Airport Planner

  • • Educated to degree level in aviation related subject (preferably post-graduate degree)

  • • 2-5 years relevant airport planning experience in all or some of the following areas; terminal simulation, airfield simulation, terminal and airfield facilities planning

  • • Experienced user of Office Microsoft packages, especially good excel skills

  • • Strong and proven track record of delivering robust high quality analytical work

  • • Experienced user of airport simulation tools (ideally CAST user, CAST Terminal, and/or CAST Aircraft)

  • • Experience of managing tasks, people and small projects

  • • Excellent understanding of ICAO, EASA and IATA standards and recommended practices is required including experience in their interpretation.

  • • GIS knowledge and/or other graphical software
