Sales Executive - Events

Are you an ambitious Telesales professional looking for your next move? Our client, a global events company, are looking for a driven and natural sales person to join their existing Events Sales team. As well as global conferences you will be seeking sponsorship for webinars and industry awards events. The role will be home based with occasional trips to their Birmingham offices. As well as developing new leads you will be responsible for following up and converting leads from an existing pipeline.
This will be the first step however as the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow within the organisation and quickly develop their sales career.
The main focus of the role will be to drive customer sales through your own personal sales plan. Working in conjunction with the Events Sales Manager you will devise a strategy to develop partnerships with organisations that can work in synergy with the company goals and increase revenue through continued sponsorship.
You will be Identifying new opportunities and engaging with key stakeholders to promote sales within events, including international conferences, webinars and awards evenings. As well as developing successful relationships with organisations you will be focused on the most profitable revenue streams. Working closely with the Events Sales team you will develop your own personal sales plan and devise your own strategy to grow and develop business opportunities. Using Salesforce CRM to review and monitor client contact and engagement and track performance levels.
To be suitable for this Business Development role you should:
Possess proven B2B and B2C telephone sales experience (ideally within Events or similar field)
Have strong commercial acumen with a passion for customer service.
Ability to work autonomously with excellent time management.
Impeccable written and oral communication skills.
Intermediate with MS Office CRM experience (ideally Salesforce)
