Regulatory Affairs Manager, Chemicals and SAP EHS Job Description Regulatory Affairs Manager Location – Reigate Competitive salary and benefits package Expectations and Responsibilities: * Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs staff to develop programs to support compliance to existing and new chemical regulations for both raw materials and finished products. * Develop data standards to define the collection of data needed to support regulatory compliance and determine the appropriate data structure in SAP EHS to ensure that information can be leveraged in many ways. * Ensure rules and WWI Templates are current and support regulatory requirements for product compliance. * Develop business requirement documentation to capture the needs of new and changing regulations in order to ensure updates to SAP EHS are implemented correctly and in a timely manner. * Support user acceptance testing needs to validate system updates. * Provide support for Product Stewardship initiatives, including the collection and entry of Regulatory Intelligence information into the appropriate system(s) and initiation of follow-up requests to encourage timely completion in order to best support the needs of the business. * Perform all other chemicals management and associated Regulatory Sciences tasks and activities as requested by the Team Leader. The main challenges of the position are: * Requesting, organizing and managing a diverse amount of technical information in SAP EHS stemming from different sources both internal and external to K-C. * Awareness and comprehension of regional chemical regulations and the ability to assess the impact of these as well as changes to and/or emerging regional chemical legislation against the K-C product portfolio. * Analyzing, prioritizing and communicating this information in order to enable the Global Regulatory Affairs team to deliver against objectives and ensure compliance with regional and country chemical legislation. * Having the ability to understand the technical aspects of the vast array of products manufactured and/or marketed by the Kimberly-Clark business units in relation to their chemical composition and regulatory classification maintained in SAP EHS. * Qualifications/Education/Experience Required: A broad technical background is required to support the data management and regulatory compliance aspects of this position.  The incumbent must possess an understanding of data integrity, database management, process flow, and the importance of regulatory compliance, obtained through relevant experience working in a regulated industry such as the chemical and/or pharmaceutical/medical device industry.  * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific or technical field of study or an Associate’s degree and extensive experience in a corporate environment. * Experience in organising chemical safety and regulatory data, research/product safety testing report information and the entering of these data into SAP EHS or similar type databases. * Demonstrated proficiency in database management in SAP environment and the ability to independently provide innovative approaches to the input and management of raw material chemical information. * Demonstrated ability to evaluate, process, and appropriately respond to incoming internal or external customer inquiries and the ability to effectively identify, and escalate as appropriate, potential problems or issues. * Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated proficiency in working effectively with technical staff from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and with multi-national cross-functional business teams. * Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated proficiency in working within SAP database environments and Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, etc.). * Knowledge of chemical safety regulations globally and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) standards the as they pertain to Kimberly-Clark. * Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and independently manage multiple tasks in a cross-functional corporate setting and the ability to effectively communicate in written or oral presentation formats.  Travel estimated 10% (domestic and/or international). * Package: * Competitive basic salary * Performance related bonus * Company car/car allowance * Private healthcare * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays You can also choose from our flexible benefits package which includes: * Holiday trading * Share scheme options * Critical illness cover * Travel insurance * Dental cover * And many more!
