This Health and Safety Manager position is with a globally leading speciality chemical manufacturer. This company is currently succession planning with a high number of senior stakeholders within the business set to retire over the next few years. Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager:
- Regulatory and Legislative responsibility for all EHS requirements and EHS industry development
- Managing Construction: (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015)
- Encourage a zeroincident mindset and set the EHS expectations for engineering personnel
- Coaching and training employees of EHS standards, policies and programs
- Engaging in a personal and career development training programme to support in progression through the company
The successful Health and Safety Manager will ideally have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and previous experience within a manufacturing environment, chemical environment or other heavy industry environment. Applicants educated to at least NVQ Level 6 will also be considered. Ideally applicants will have a NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma in the relevant discipline. Candidates with an MIOSH or CMIOSH would also be considered.
Any experience of Construction (Design and Management), CDM 2015, COMAH, ATEX, DSEAR or similar regulations would be a distinct advantage. Experience working with the following titles would also be advantageous: Environment Officer, HSE or SHE or EHS Consultant / Advisor.
