Inspired Pet Nutrition Ltd, IPN, is a leading FMCG manufacturer of pet foods. We are best known for our market leading brands, Wagg and Harringtons.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our site in North Wales, also known as The Real Pet Food Company.

IPN Kinmel is a brand•new state of the art fresh•ingredient pet food facility with two innovative kitchens with capacity for > £100million in sales.

Their St Asaph’s Bakery & Kinmel Bay Kitchens are supplying the most innovative Fresh•Cooked wet foods using Human Grade Quality ingredients in convenient, ambient, food•to•go recyclable bowls / trays and Fresh•Baked naturally appealing dry complete and treats. The palatability and nutritional quality is award winning and proving to be a real hit!

As our business accelerates its position in the market, we are now looking to strengthen the business by recruiting a Global Business Development Manager to help support their investments in state of the art Fresh•Cooking Pet Food facilities. We are looking for a driven and motivated individual who really wants to make a difference to our family business.

About the Role

In order to manage the demand and develop these new customers, new routes to market and new geographical markets, to assist in the marketing and product development strategies, we need to appoint a new Global Business Development Manager. A can•do, hunter, who can make things happen.  This is a new role within the business.

We need a go•getter, who can show initiative as well as follow strategic directives. Someone who sees the bigger picture for Brand, whilst developing strategic own label alliances along the way. The person needs to have a natural flare for customer service, and have an innate ability to liaise closely with buyers, marketers, technical nutritionists and product developers, and have tenacity to oversee projects and make the seemingly complex, simple and efficient. If you have these qualities then together, we can grow the portfolio to in excess of £50 million under your auspices.

The current growth is >60% without a dedicated Global Business Development Manager and with your help we should see growth well in excess of 100%.

This is an exciting time in the company’s history and without doubt this appointment comes at a time when we have a fantastic team with a proven track record of growing significant business’s to in excess of £100million.

Reporting to: IPN Group Sales Director, working closely with the IPN Kinmel (The Real Petfood Co) site & team based in the North West UK, NW Wales, and 25mins from Chester.

Requirements for the Role

We want you to be the best in your class and eager for that next step in your career.

Educated to a degree level.  Experience of 10 years minimum in food or pet food sales with a 100% proven track record for significant ‘new business development’ is essential.

Preference will be given to those with experience in retail and branded sales and with exposure to international sales.

Although not essential a second language would be advantageous.

A desire to and be able to travel and to see customers in the UK and overseas will undoubtedly lead to the success of this position.

What’s on offer?

•Base salary £55,000 • £65,000 Depending on Experience
