QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
Location: London
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 And Bonus/Benefits package

THE COMPANY
Our client, a leading Supplier of Special Medicines is looking for a highly experienced Quality Assurance Manager to take ownership of their busy Quality Assurance function. This will require strong people management skills, extensive Quality Management systems skills/knowledge and relevant experience in a GMP QA environment. Our client is willing to consider applications from candidates from Animal health and/or hospital environments

THE ROLE
As the Quality Assurance Manager, responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Leading the site in GXP compliance
• Managing the activities of QA staff on a daily basis
• Reviewing batches and support QA release process
• Managing the site equipment validation and calibration schedule
• Managing quality systems, processes and procedures to assure product quality and safety
• Owning the development and maintenance of policies and procedures for departmental functions
• Influencing site compliance to Quality policy, Quality Management System procedures and guidelines
• Taking lead in compliance to internal and external regulations
• Taking the lead in quality system metrics such as Corrective and Preventive Action, training metrics, completion and complaint resolution metrics
• Defining and performing audit of internal systems and external suppliers and manufacturers
• Informing appropriate internal departments on audit results and work with the necessary staff to achieve GXP compliance
• Providing QA support during regulatory authority inspections, as applicable
• Updating key performance indicators/metrics in a timely manner
• Developing and maintaining GxP standard operating procedures in accordance with regulatory and company requirements

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will possess:
• a Degree in a scientific discipline
• Minimum 8 yrs relevant pharma QA experience, essentially including working in a GMP QA environment and solid Quality management systems skills/knowledge
• Proven Supervisory/management experience
