Driver/Charity Shop Assistant - (30 hours per week, Permanent)
£14,429 per year + 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rata for part-time); a contributory pension scheme; season ticket loan; an employee assis
Permanent (Part time)
The Salvation Army Charity Shop in Batley is a vibrant and energetic part of the local community selling clothes, furniture, bric-a-brac, and lots more. To support its continued success a Driver/Charity Shop Assistant is required to work alongside the Shop Manager and volunteers.
The Driver/Charity Shop Assistant will contribute to the success and profitability of the shop by the efficient collection and delivery of goods, careful selection of furniture and other items, and providing quality assistance in all aspects of the shop.
To represent The Salvation Army, select appropriate furniture for sale, collect and deliver goods, operate the designated vehicle safely and efficiently and assist the managers in all aspects of operating the Charity Shop.
Greet and assist customers and promote the work of the Salvation Army
Occasional opening and closing of the shop with management responsibilities including operating the till.
Ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming shop environment
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
Excellent customer service skills, the ability to work as part of a team.
A full, clean UK driving license.
Good verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
You'll be comfortable working under your own initiative and passionate about making a positive change in your community.
