Accounts Assistant




My client is a successful manufacturing organisation based in the Fife area. Due to continue success and growth they have a newly created position within the Finance Team and are looking to hire an experienced Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Process purchase invoices including matching against item receipts on accounts software, obtaining authorisations and dealing with any queries to ensure suppliers are paid within terms
  • Set up new suppliers and new employees on accounting software
  • Produce payment summaries for supplier payments and employee expense payments
  • Load payments onto Bank for authorisation
  • Post any incoming receipts and outgoing payments through the appropriate ledgers
  • Prepare bank recs on a monthly basis
  • Support with month end duties

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following background and skills:

  • Previous experience of working in a similar Finance Assistant/Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant position
  • Educated to HND level or above in Accounting
  • Strong IT skills which should include MS Excel and financial software packages
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy skills
