Role: Level 1 Trainee - Landscape Maintenance and Forestry Trainee (18-month Training Scheme)
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £19k

In this role, you will carry out landscaping activities such as working with the parks fixture and fittings and hedge and tree works to ensure that the green estate is maintained and presented to a good standard. If you are a team player who can apply your initiative to your work, with effective time management skills, then this may just be the role for you.

Requirements:
Full drivers license
Happy to work outside in all seasons
Occasional weekend work may be required

Duties:
Main duties will be to undertake required landscape maintenance (LM) work (. weed control, shrub pruning, coppicing, hedge cutting, grass cutting).
Range of soft works including but not exclusively tree works, chipping, stump grinding, spraying, tree/shrub planting, planting aftercare
Assist the team to identify and carry out works as required.
Ensure all machinery is properly maintained and in good working order, being used correctly and safely
Ensure all statutory Health and Safety requirements are fulfilled as per instruction from line manager and Health and Safety Manager
Assist other team members in carrying out Risk Assessments and help implement measures on site.
Assist with keeping the parks tidy and presentable; carry out litter picking, minor graffiti removal and other duties as required.
Liaise with the Supervisor, Landscape Officers and other team members on issues associated with the management of the green estate
As part of a call-out system, respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies regarding The Trust's holdings as required
