Medical Equipment Engineer - Pumps and Vacuum
Chester, Cheshire West and Chester, England
£55000 - £65000/annum Benefits
Permanent (Full time)
A specialist developer and provider of ground-breaking medical technologies are actively looking to recruit a Vacuum Engineer to join their expanding in-house team in the North West. This is an additional requirement which has been created as their UK facility continues to grow at an exponential rate.
In this newly created role you will primarily be focused on providing support and contribute towards the development of vacuum systems, as well as supporting the mechanical, electrical and control systems teams. You will also work with their Technical and Installations Teams, in addition to third party suppliers and contractors.
This role is being offered with a strong package including up to £65k salary (DOE), good pension and benefits, offers an excellent opportunity to make your mark within an expanding company, have direct input and influence over NPD and NPI, and great career progression prospects within the company in the future. They can also support relocation costs and/or offer accommodation if staying locally during the week.
This is an exciting time to join them as they are working on several multi-million pound projects to install their technologies into treatment rooms of leading hospitals based around the world.
Key responsibilities will include finding safe and cost-effective methods of installing and testing the vacuum components for their equipment; producing and providing input to installation instructions, procedures and processes; installing components, assemblies and systems; and on occasion carrying out installations at customer sites in the United Kingdom, Europe and Worldwide as required.
Applications are invited from candidates with an electrical or mechanical engineering background and knowledge and/or experience of working with high and ultra-high vacuum components and systems. These components could include residual gas analysers, pumps, and gauges.
Previous experience of working with medical devices would be beneficial but not essential (this may include assembly, testing, commissioning, installing, commissioning, servicing, maintaining, and upgrading).
This role will be predominantly based in their modern clean room manufacturing facility but will involve occasional domestic and international travel to customers sites during installations, so a driving licence and passport are essential.
We are able to consider a range of backgrounds and experiences, so applications are invited form those including vacuum engineers, service engineers and technicians, fitters, assembly and commissioning engineers, as well as academics and project engineers with previous hands-on experience.
Apply now to be considered immediately by a business renowned for its continued investment into research & development, dedication to diversifying its product offerings through NPD and NPI, and continued focus on improving the experience of their valued customers.
