About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
EKFB are looking for a Deputy Engineering Manager.
Site-based role, supporting the Engineering Manager and working closely with the Construction team for day-to-day matters.
Identifying and mitigating key engineering risks and issues.
Reviewing WPPs (RAMS) and ITPs on behalf of the Engineering Management Team, calling on the Quality & Environmental teams and ASC Construction Support teams where input is needed.
Overseeing the management and execution of temporary works
Overseeing the proper co-ordination, integration and execution of the permanent works and temporary works designs.
Providing technical support and guidance to the construction delivery teams, including SCEW matters, NCRs, short notice design changes (TQs, FCRs), materials approvals, shop drawing reviews, temporary works design reviews, and testing (. lab, materials management).
Overseeing the timely and accurate redlining of approved changes to the design by the construction delivery team.
Support (as necessary) in relation to the above for technical assurance purposes (audit, surveillance, HS2 Technical Assurance Reviews).
Liaising with the Designer’s Construction Support team to manage resolution of FCRs and TQs

About The Candidate
Degree qualification in civil engineering
Experience in design and/or engineering/construction management and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer
