Centric Talent are looking for a number of permanent Experienced Skilled Operatives for our exciting client, who are based in Atherstone.
You may not have heard of our client, but we’re sure you’ve tried their products because they supply food for the all the major supermarkets in the UK.
At Atherstone, there are a team of around 550 colleagues and our client specialises in producing sandwiches, wraps, rolls, bircher pots and toasties for some of the biggest retailers in the UK.

The role will be working in a Chilled Food production area and requires a skill set that would suit someone with a keen eye for detail, who enjoys following processes and making sure things are done just right.
As a Skilled Operator some of your role could include:
Process Controller: Responsible for ensuring weights, temperatures, dates, and labels are correct. Ensuring awareness of new products, changes to specifications and promotions, be great at communicating and confident enough to challenge people in the event of a possible quality Issue.
Machine Minder: Responsible for daily start-up of machinery and reporting faults. Ensuring correct labels are printed and used. To adjust print density and check alignment is correct to ensure clarity and position of print on label. Making sure that produce is sealed correctly. Recording information accurately. Ensuring all procedures are completed regarding the correct health and safety rules and regulations. Carry out manual handling tasks.
Line Service: Responsible for getting all ingredients from Preparation areas. Reporting any discrepancies. Ensuring correct trace codes are used. Ensuring stock rotation takes place. Making sure that there is enough produce for the run. Ensuring all procedures are completed regarding the correct health and safety rules and regulations. Responsible for general housekeeping.
Issue & Return Op: The High Care (HC) Issue and Return (I&R) operatives are responsible for the completion of electronic packaging issue and return sheet for all packaging including labels, film, and pots to the factory. Calculations must be completed accurately and timely.
What do we need from you?
good understanding of both spoken & written English and also
good level of numeracy skills
You will also have strong attention to detail and good organisation skills.
Able to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
Basic Awareness of Health and Safety.
Previous Production or Logistics experience (desirable)
The shift pattern & Payrate for our Skilled Operatives
This is a full-time position, and the roles is any 5 shifts over 7 days – This role will include weekends.
This is a Day shift, and hours of work are 0530 hours to 1400 hours.
£ p/h (£/h DURING SUMMER PERIOD until 4th September 2021)
