Are you a motivated and caring individual, with a real interest and commitment to high quality social care provision? If so, we are looking to recruit a Female Senior Support Worker for our vibrant 24 hour supported accommodation service in Withington, supporting females with severe and enduring mental health needs.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will join services that aim to work in collaboration with service users and have transparency in the professional relationship and setting that is their home. You will be welcomed and inducted locally by the service users and team who will all be eager to help you settle into your new role.

Your role will include:

  • Assisting the management team in the co-ordination and operational management of our mental health supported accommodation service
  • Ensuring that a high quality service is maintained at all times
  • Taking delegated responsibility for key functions and tasks
  • Ensuring support is provided to service users with mental health needs to increase their independence to move on from the service
  • Supporting the delivery of CQC registered personal care where applicable and supporting the team to deliver a designed in support/care plan

Previous experience of working with people with mental health needs is essential. You must be enthusiastic about working in services that have recovery based approaches. You must be passionate about providing bespoke support and risk management to each person we provide a service for.

You will be part of a team and receive supervision and access to relevant training throughout the probationary process to ensure you have the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. You will have the opportunity to work with other professionals in the sector in this role as you are very closely involved in service user’s day to day lives and support needs.
