Basic salary: £35,000 P/A
Hours: Monday to Friday 7am-3pm

Their site in Loughborough distills, blends and purifies flammable, hazardous and corrosive solvents to create an analytical grade chemical safe for use in laboratory.
Machinery/Plant list: Automated filling lines, distilling glassware, pneumatic pumps, LEV extract systems, scrubber units, vessels, mixing tanks, pumps, pipework.
The role: Maintenance Fitter
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Mechanical Fitter is responsible for carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance and Mechanical Fitting across the factory to support the shift engineers.
- Repairing mechanical equipment down to component level: Stripping Pumps, repairing gearboxes, repairing bearings, shafts, motors etc.
- PPM Maintenance on site: lubricating, oiling, greasing and carrying out specific preventative maintenance tasks on production machinery.
- Supporting the breakdown engineers fixing and replacing components to rectify problems.
- Installations of new machinery and carrying out modifications to improve mechanical machinery.
5 years minimum Either as a Mechanical Fitter, Installations Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Fitter or Service Engineer.
Mechanical Maintenance experience within the: Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverages, Liquid filling or similar environments.
Essential: City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Installation or Maintenance.
