Young Person’s Mental Health Worker (BAME Pathfinder)
Location: Brent Civic Centre / EACH Brent NW10 4HT/ Community based satellites.
Salary: £28,044 -£30,491 pa (including Outer London Weighting) for FTE
Hours: 15 hours per week
EACH is a growing charity providing a range of specialist services to individuals and families affected by mental health, domestic violence and alcohol and substance misuse issues.

The successful postholder will be responsible for engaging and supporting young people aged 11-17 on their mental health through targeted mental health assessment and therapeutic support.
Your Key Duties:
* To provide a holistic range of young person-centred interventions and activity-based support to BAME young people impacted by Covid-19 related mental health.
* To develop and deliver young-person centred prevention, engagement activities and interventions, . ITEP mapping, CBT, Solutions focused and counselling.
* To hold a mixed caseload of clients providing short therapeutic one-to-ones and group-based interventions.
* Ensure and support young people’s voice through feedback, consultation and wider involvement.
You Will Need:
* Experience of working with young people from diverse communities to address mental health issues
* Experience of working within ITEP mapping/ CBT/ MI and Counselling frameworks and ability to utilise these with young people
* Awareness of impact of Covid-19 on young people’s mental health, particularly BAME young people.
* Ability to set up and facilitate group activities and support.
* Ability to communicate effectively, with good written and oral communication skills.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection and ability to respond to issues related to these.
* Competency in IT (Word, Excel, Outlook)
