Project Manager (Automotive)A leading manufacturer is looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join their team due to continued expansion.The ideal candidate will be an experienced Project Manager in the Automotive Manufacturing industry.This is an exciting opportunity to join a business which is enjoying continued growth and can offer not only job security but the opportunity for further training & development.Purpose of Role:The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that contracts are delivered OTIF and to budget in accordance with the contractual requirements.The Successful Candidate:Experience in Automotive Project ManagementNew Product IntroductionWorking knowledge of PPAP/APQP and their preparationDFMEA/PFMEAKnowledge of ISO9000 / TS16949 QMSLean Production SystemsKnowledge of Automotive customer processes & cost presentation / analysis systemsPrepared to travel overseas on occasion (infrequently)Job Responsibilities:Keep Programme Managers informed of Project updates and report any risks to OTIF delivery on time and to costMonitor progress of projects with a "hands on" approach to ensure successful delivery of all aspects of projects including costingsProduce timing plans for running projectsSupport the Quality Manager to achieve successful PSWLead project milestone reviews - plan vs. actual analysisSupport customer meetings and presentationsEnsure monthly program status reports are available at month end to track open issuesAssist in the implementation of policies & procedures to meet required quality standards.Lead programme requirements for REACH and Vehicle End of Life (ELV) regulationsAssist in Design & Test functions as required supporting development of DFMEA / PFMEA / DVPRSupport Supplier decision making processes for tooling & equipmentManage Suppliers of equipment and tooling to ensure adherence to timing, specification, production approval and costs supporting Purchasing team in sourcing decisionsSupport design team in prototype development & production to ensure design, manufacturing and program objectives are achievedLead team feasibility reviewsOn Offer:Working Hours: 08.15-17.00 Monday-Thursday / 08.15-12.45 on FridayPension, Life Assurance, BUPA, 25 days holidays Stats, Free Parking Role commutable from: Maidenhead, Reading, Newbury, Basingstoke, Wokingham For further information please email your CV to: stuart.williams@asc-connections.comPlease note, if your application is suitable, one of our consultants will call you within 5 working days.
