An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant for a successful and leading property/rental space company specialising in the retail space, working with everyone from industry-leading brands to exciting start-ups. Their mission is to create a world where anyone with an idea can find space to make it happen.
Based in their head office in Central London, my client is looking for an analytical and highly organised Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team. This role will report directly to the Finance Manager. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:30 and is based in our London office.
The Finance Assistance will play a key role in supporting the team delivers on key activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your education to a professional setting while gaining valuable experience and skills. Working closely with the newly appointed CFO and Finance Manager, you will gain exposure to operational finance and get a chance to work closely with the wider team. You will be expected to own and improve the tasks that form the foundation of the business. An aptitude for numbers, diligence, excellent communication, and a can-do attitude is a must in this exciting, fast-paced environment.
You need to have a proven track record in the Debits and Credits/ Double-entry accounting process. You will be tested on this in an interview
* Day to day finance support to the Finance Manager
* Assisting with Various Month-end duties/tasks up to Trial Balance
* Client Account Reconciliation.
* Bank account Reconciliation
* Preparing supplier payments and staff expenses
* Support the team on a variety of projects and tasks
* Capturing invoices (client and supplier) on Xero
* Managing and updating various team spreadsheets
* Account Receivable/Credit Control
* Suggest process improvements to our financial systems - they are a friendly team and new ideas are always welcome
* Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams creating synergies
* Develop your business acumen
* Network and learn through events and training onsite.
* Understand how actions and decisions impact key company measures and leadership objectives
* Effectively communicate ideas to key stakeholders
System Experience
* Proficient use with MS Excel
* MAC, Xero, beneficial
