NECS are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the In Hospital Commissioning Delivery Team. Working in a fast paced environment the individual must have excellent communication and partnership skills as we work across 5 Local Authorities, 3 Foundation Trusts and 1 Mental Health Trust.

The Commissioning Support Project Officer will have a key role and focus in respect of the commissioning agenda and they will provide valuable project management support across the In Hospital commissioning programme.

The Commissioning Officer will contribute and deliver the following functions:

  • Deliver the project management support for main work streams including project plans, exception plans, action logs and risks registers.
  • Schedule, plan and record key work-stream meetings and follow agreed process for reporting and escalation and respond to changing project priorities
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring action plans including QIPP.
  • Assist in service reviews and ensure actions are implemented.
  • To utilise data to inform service reviews and planning
  • Contribute to the re-design of care pathways across all domains.
  • Develop a strong rapport with key stakeholders including CCG partners and their key stakeholders.
  • Communicate the CCG plans for service improvements and reviews with stakeholders including clinical leads, member practices, patients and parent carers as well as partners within the local health economy and commissioned providers.

You must be able to demonstrate your competencies in project management, thinking creatively and motivating others. You must be able to engage confidently with stakeholders including parent carer forums and use their feedback to improve services. You must also be competent at carrying out research independently, analysing data and presenting your findings in a cohesive manner to inform strategic decision-making.
