Role: Civil Engineer - Reinforced Concrete - UK Nuclear New Build
Salary: £32k-60k + benefits
Start: September 2019
The role plays a key part in the development of a Nuclear New Build in the SW, to complete surveillance and quality assurance of the 3D RC models and 2D RC drawings generated by the design team.
Skills and experience: A minimum of 5 years Civil Engineering experience, detailed knowledge of Eurocode 2, Navisworks and/or Tekla. Experience of working on complex, large scale reinforced concrete projects in a highly regulated industry / sector as well as prior nuclear industry experience woud be advantageous.
Main Activities * The civil engineer will carry out surveillance of the 3D RC models and 2D RC drawings generated by the Civil Works Designer * Review of construction non conformances and proposed solutions made by others * Review of construction modifications and proposed solutions made by others * Participating in collaborative meeting with designers, constructors and project managers * Collaborative activities with detailed designers
Qualifications and Experience * 5+ years Civil / Structural Engineering design experience * Experience in design of reinforced concrete structures * Experience in detailed design * Experience of working on complex, large scale reinforced concrete projects in a highly regulated industry / sector
