PMB Battery Technology UK Ltd is the UK Subsidiary of PMB Defence, an established Australian Submarine Battery Specialist that have been producing Main Storage Batteries for the Collins Class of Submarines since 1989. The business has evolved to become a dependable supplier of engineering services, and battery and niche product solutions for current and future submarines.
PMB Battery Technology UK is making a significant investment in to Wales and opening their new South Wales operation after successfully securing a major sustainable contract within the UK Defence industry.

This is a senior role within the engineering team, the role is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing and operations engineering related to the Nickel Zinc cell production.
Duties will include;
*Management responsibility for Engineers and Operators on site.
*Ensuring installation, commissioning and correct installation of the current
- manufacturing process when relocated.
*Defining processes and cycle times ensuring efficiency and continuous
- improvements programs.
*Developing and designing equipment specifications with vendors to enable a high
- volume, automated manufacturing process for NiZn cells.
*Generating product costing calculations.
*Ensuring product, staff and equipment meets Environmental, Health and
- Safety standards.
*Working with the customer to ensure products meet client specifications
- and requirements.
The ideal candidate:
*Degree educated in engineering, design or other relevant technical discipline.
*Extensive experience ideally within battery manufacturing environment but other
- technical / precision environments will be accepted.
*Motivational and inspiring leader.
*3D CAD, Microsoft and analysis tool i.e. ProEngineer experience desired.
*Financial, budgeting and control costs experience.
Please note, the role may involve some travel to Europe and the Rest of the World to meet suppliers, although this will be very infrequent.
