! ()My client is currently looking to recruit an experienced IT Support Technician to cover their facilities in Irlam and Skelmersdale.
They are part of a global organisation based in the UK who are at the forefront of delivering innovative and next generation solutions to some of the food industry's most recognised brands.
Offering an attractive salary up to £35,000 dependent on experience plus benefits, which include company pension, medical cash back scheme, plus annual bonus and 25 holidays per year.
Reporting to the IT Manager who is based remotely, you would be responsible for maintaining tactical day to day IT throughout both sites in the UK, as well as supporting the European IT team as and when required, ensuring all IT issues are resolved within a timely manner causing minimal disruption to users.
Tasks will include…
- Managing the network infrastructure, advising of risks and improvement opportunities
- Assisting in the implementation, maintenance and development of in-house and Group Business Systems (SAP, etc)
- Monitoring and reporting on the efficiency and capabilities of all network software used across the business
- Playing a lead role in the implementation and maintenance of telephony, Android devices and IOS
- Providing a high standard of support at all times to ensure continuity of IT services at both locations
The role will suit a skilled IT support technician, ideally a Computer Sciences graduate, with a thorough knowledge of a wide range of systems, applications, interfaces and hardware and some experience in a similar support role. A thorough understanding of PC desktop hardware plus mobile devices will be required, with Microsoft certification desirable but not essential. SAP skills are essential.
You will have an enthusiastic personality with a flexible attitude and must be able to demonstrate a real passion for IT. You will be a well organised and flexible individual with strong communication skills and excellent problem solving and analytical ability. You must be able to work independently as well as being part of the wider IT European Team. Time management and the ability to follow instruction is key.
