Dementia devastates lives. By 2021, 1 million people will be living with the condition. But dementia won't win. Until the day we find a cure, Alzheimer's Society will be here for anyone affected by dementia - wherever they are, whatever they're going through. Everything we do is informed and inspired by them.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
As a project manager you will be responsible for leading cross directorate teams to deliver the major elements of change that will deliver our strategy. Working directly to some of the most senior people within the organisation you will ensure projects are run in a controlled way with the focus always on the delivery of the desired outcomes.
As part of a busy and supportive Project Management Office you will not only have the opportunity to work across the whole business but work in an environment that will enable you to thrive as a project manager.
You will be leading on projects initially aiding the implementation of our application roadmap. This includes the delivery of our Extract Transform Load tool as well as our Data Warehouse. However the remit of the PMO is vast and therefore opportunities will arise to lead on non technical projects such as, developing new services or products to people affected by dementia or launching new campaigns to raise awareness and take action for our cause. Always at the frontline of change, project managers are fundamental to the delivery of our ambitious, bold strategy to transform the experience of people affected by dementia.
Project Manager Requirements:
You will have proven experience of delivering complex projects in big organisations. You will have led project teams through the whole of the project lifecycle, pro-actively managed risks and addressed issues, tracked and managed budgets in the hundreds of thousands of pounds and worked closely with senior management.
You will be an expert in project management methodology, controls and approaches and flexible in their application and confident in producing plans, managing risk and change and ensuring benefits are delivered.
You will need to be flexible in your approach, ensuring your communication and engagement style is appropriate for your audience and understanding of the impact of change on internal and external stakeholders and the business, both positive and negative.
You are confident in your skills as a project manager and looking for an opportunity to take those skills further in an environment that will present opportunities to excel and make a real and positive impact on the world as you do.
We are looking for candidates with enthusiasm and a 'can-do’ approach that will inspire the project teams you work with to push through challenges and achieve the change.
Interested? Then we can provide you with an opportunity of exceptional variety and scope - and the kind of recognition and rewards you deserve.
