Ashamber is a Residential Care Service for 6 adults with learning disabilities, mental health, and associated conditions.

Currently, the service users are adults with an age group of up to 65. The current service user group is both male/female and Ashamber is a friendly homely environment with a caring staff team and an active service user group.

Ashamber is a small service that allows for a person-centered approach when working with individuals. The manager has been in the post for many years and a full induction will be provided to the right candidate.

The role is to support and assist the Home Manager in all aspects of the day-to-day running of the home, assessing staff performance and the quality of the care delivered. Guiding and inspiring team members to make a positive difference to service user's lives and ensuring that dignity, respect, and inclusion are at the centre of practice.

The Assistant Manager must be able to demonstrate the competency requirements of a Band 3 Adult Care Worker, have a minimum of an NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health & Social Care, and be prepared to act on behalf of the Registered Manager in their absence and be willing to study towards a level 4/5 Diploma.

Driving is not essential however of benefit.

All Care staff will have received their first COVID vaccine by 16/9/21 and they're final to be received by 11/11/21.

This position is full-time ( hrs) and involves working on a rota pattern including some weekends and wake nights, with some office hours, included.

An enhanced DBS is a requirement of the position.
