Key responsibilities include:

* Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy

* Continuously review and update policies, procedures and practices

* Provide advice on recruitment and selection strategies

* Support the recruitment process – this may include writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and application forms etc

* Manage talent and succession planning

* Support change management processes

* Project management - manage any HR related projects through to completion

* Work with the management team to develop the business and workforce

* Be confident to challenge processes and managers to make process improvements

* Support culture change and implementation of HR initiatives across the business

Skills, know-how and experience required:

* At least Level 5 CIPD qualification

* Proven HR generalist experience of at least 5 years is expected

* Experience of managing a small team

* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be desirable but not essential

* Exceptional organisational and communication skills

* Experienced in developing and supporting line managers through change

* Self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team
