We are looking for a caring and passionate individual to join our small, friendly team of Support Workers in Ipswich and surrounding areas. We have various hours available.

We have immediate opportunities to provide support workers to provide vital support to people with a learning disability through this tough time. We're recruiting full time, part time permanent and bank Support Workers across the UK now!

What does a Support Worker do?

As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life.

This is an interesting and varied role supporting 22 individuals of all different ages and abilities. These individuals live in their own homes and may only require from 2 hours to 24 hours a week. You will be actively promoting and encouraging the people we support to make their own choices in everything they do. This service is a busy and diverse service and we may support with the following:

Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom.
Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, house work, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
Excellent communication skills/relationship building – supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
Community & Social Inclusion- Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and Social events to promote life skills and individuality.

We provide support from approximately 8am- over 7 days a week (no nights included). Your contracted hours will be over five days and required to work alternative weekends. Full training is provided, and experience is desirable but not essential.

Due to the needs of the people we support, you must have a full UK driving licence with use of a car.
