Senior Procurement/Category Manager - (Remote Working)

Cedar are working exclusively with a high profile Central Government organisation who are looking to hire a driven and passionate Procurement/Category Manager/Business Partner to join their team as they continue on their journey of transformation and change. This role will work closely with the Head of Procurement and Procurement/Commercial Business Partners to ensure the department delivers an effective and efficient procurement service to the business and it's unique stakeholders. Must be a clear and confident communicator with proven experience of managing a wide range of indirect spend in a fast paced private or public sector procurement function. Previous experience in IT, Professional Services, facilities and indirect spend is required, along with managing multiple projects/stakeholders in this area simultaneously.
Key areas will be;
Development/improvement of procurement processes and procedures within the IT/corporate services category
Proven experience of procurement within the Public Sector - OJEU/PCR 15 open/restricted procedures
Commercial acumen and a clear understanding of procurement/supplier contracts management
Stakeholder engagement across a range of categories - including IT/professional/corporate services
Effective negotiator - must have gravitas along with energy and drive
Acting as a procurement advisor and trusted partner to internal customers
Managing suppliers in line with organisational policy
Ensuring compliance in all areas of procurement activity
Ability to interact and influence stakeholders within various internal/external business units
MCIPS qualifiedThis role will be 100% remote working
