About the role
We are looking for an experienced support worker with a background in working with people who have a learning disability, autism or experience in supporting people with behaviours that challenge.
Luke is a 20 year old man who has a great sense of humour. Luke is currently living in Bracknell in his own home and requires support 24 hours a day. Luke loves playing football and is an avid X-box gamer, particularly Hitman 2, Train Simulator & Watchdog Legion. Luke enjoys interacting with his team, particularly playing with nerf guns, bike riding, listening and dancing to music, home cooking and he needs people around him who like to have fun. Luke has global development delay and foetal alcohol spectrum disorder and sometimes Luke needs a bit of support with certain tasks around his home, however he is very independent in most things. There are times when Luke can become upset and requires reassurance from his team and support to manage his emotions. Luke requires team members who are enthusiastic, motivated and who are up for having fun. If this sounds like you, let us know!

We are a not for profit and social enterprise support provider for adults and young adults who have learning disabilities and/or autism. We support people to live in their own homes, with their own tenancies and our model of support is a practice called Positive Behaviour Support. Our CEO Jonathan Beebee is a registered Learning Disabilities Nurse and qualified Behaviour Analyst. We are a medium-sized organisation supporting 35 people across Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire and Oxfordshire and with a workforce of just over 200.
As an Enablement Assistant you will have the support of a team of people dedicated to supporting that person. You will also be able to access support from the Deputy Enablement Manager, the Enablement Manager, and the Positive Behaviour Support Clinician who provide you and the team with management and leadership. Your shift pattern may consist of day shifts, waking nights and sleeps.
