£34,000 - £38,000 + Overtime

A fantastic career opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with experience working on manufacturing/production machinery to join a large and successful FMCG company.

The Company

Our client is an FMCG group of companies who specialise in providing food produce to supermarkets and retailers across the UK. Due to growth, they are currently seeking to employ experienced maintenance engineers to join their engineering team at their Salisbury site.

The Role

As Electrical bias Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and repairs to the production plant and equipment to ensure safety and reliability of the production process. You will work as part of a skilled cross functional planned maintenance team.


Carry out planned maintenance and repairs to plant equipment and machinery
Continuous development of knowledge and familiarity with the engineering requirements of the site process systems and machinery
Ensure H&S, Food Safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
A fast and effective response to breakdowns
Diagnosing faults and taking corrective action
Assisting mechanical engineers
Participate in the continuous improvement culture by identifying new efficiencies and waste reduction options.
Assist in training fellow engineers.
Ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict schedules.
Working on various projects including installation of and modifications to plant equipment

Person Requirements

Essential Skills:

Ideally time served apprenticeship trained OR Similar Engineering qualifications
Experience carrying out electrical maintenance to production/manufacturing machinery/equipment/plant.
Knowledge and experience in mechanical maintenance
Relevant electrical qualifications
Experience in a Food or FMCG environment would be advantageous but not essential
Good communication skills
Detailed approach to work
Must be able to work as part of a team
Good written, numerical and computer skills are essential
Knowledge of plant maintenance work Desirable Skills:

Programming & Maintenance of PLC systems
