Responsive Personnel are looking for a Warehouse Operative with Forklift Licenses for a new client based in Stratton, this will be on temp to perm role.
To receive and safely store inward products and to pick and dispatch outward products. Other associated warehouse duties as required. Also ensuring that hygiene, quality levels are met. Use of Mechanical Handling Equipment.
Pay: £ per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday / 08:00 - 17:00
Breaks: 1 hour unpaid lunch break
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To safeguard customer’s products creating an environment that ensures customers can rely upon safe storage and timely dispatch of raw and finished goods placed in our care
To always work in a way that safeguards both your personal safety and the safety of all who work in the warehouse
Accurate completion of all paperwork required to run the contracts with our customers to their complete satisfaction
Packaging and palletising of customer’s products
Unloading containers at times can be heavy lifting involved.
Other tasks in support of the warehouse operation as directed/requested.
Responsible for highlighting any potential quality issues, including hygiene and damage issues to your
Completion of necessary process control and quality documented records, in a timely manner (QC
Competent with Mechanical Handling Equipment and has a basic training certificate for counterbalance
and ideally Articulated trucks and Man-up order pickers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES
The ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and forklift vehicles
Basic PC literacy and the ability to use the systems applicable to the warehouse or the capability to
use them after suitable training.
Knowledge of the safe systems of work specified for the warehouse and of the H&S
policies/procedures that apply to the company premises and its operations
Ability to work in a small team and with minimal supervision to consistently produce results that hit
the targets agreed with our customers or set by the company
Good numeracy and literacy skills
* Valid forklift certificates, 3 year’s minimal experience is needed and to be in date (Counterbalance is a must with Bendi being an advantage)
* Man up/ Order picker Certificate.
* Physically fit and able for heavy container unloading work.
* To understand the need for, and always use, the Safety equipment provided.
* Willingness to participate in other development and training opportunities.
* Flexible team player who will gel with a small team.
