Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed? – Support Workers 2 x 25 hour posts

This is a rewarding role where some staff have worked for over 13 years in order to provide the excellent service that we deliver. Come and join a team that you can be proud of!

We are looking for someone to join our experienced team of dedicated support workers who work around the clock to ensure that the needs of the people they support are met. This role includes personal care, medication administration, moving and handling; all of which you will receive full training for. Support includes domestic duties, support with finances, going out shopping and eating, going on trips on trains and other transport, short breaks around the country, evenings out at pubs and organised clubs…and even staying in and chilling out with a good movie!

The shifts in this role are between 7 am – 9.30 pm, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. You will be responsible for supporting people with morning routines, daytime support and evening routines as there is waking staff present throughout the night.

There are 3 people who live together in a large bungalow in Swinton, with a vacant room awaiting a new tenant. The 3 people who live there have varying degrees of limitations with their verbal communication and mobility meaning that most of the time when out and about they will use a wheelchair or walking frame. Health issues and epilepsy are managed well with various monitoring tools. Health issues and behaviors have clear strategies in place in care plans, and work well.
