Business Development Manager - Event Hire Service

Location: London

Salary: £45,000 + Commission + Car Milage

Our client provide catering equipment and furniture hire for events and are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. They are dedicated to making every event exceptional and customer deliver the finest items to caterers and event manager across the UK and Europe.

We are seeking proactive and self-motivated Business Development Manger who will be responsible for providing a seamless service to all customers, with a clear focus on sourcing new business with a particular focus on the event catering and venue sectors.


  • Engage and communicate with any incoming enquiries/customers
  • Maintain and build relationships with clients to understand their needs and secure future business
  • Know your product, see a lot of people, ask all to buy, use common sense.
  • Work with clients to create solutions for their needs and consult throughout the sales process.
  • Always be upselling and selling all our products including catering equipment, furniture, bars, cold rooms and more.
  • Proactively target brand new customers and then work to win the business.
  • Accurate reporting and submitting an up-to-date sales pipeline each week.
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure the smooth running of the business
  • Always be identifying new business opportunities, be proactive. Cold calling and the ability to seek new leads and convert those leads.
  • Monitor and report on market competition and activities


  • 2+ years in an account management or senior sales related role.
  • Experience of working in a hire environment or events/hospitality/entertainment environment.
  • Strong sales and negotiation techniques, with a proven track record in sales
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Results driven
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to cold call and seek new leads
  • Passion for excellent customer service
