The role

Within the role of Residential Support Worker, you will be working closely alongside young people, to help them reach their full potential, whilst ensuring they are coping with the workload and remain healthy and safe.

The school

Vision for Education is seeking a Residential Support Worker who can be flexible in their working hours. The Residential Support Worker may be required in the morning, afternoon or the whole way through. This flexibility is needed as the schools where you will be placed will have differing pupils, all who have their own individual needs.


To be considered for the Residential Support Worker position, you will:

  • Have a minimum of six weeks working with children, specifically in a SEND would be preferable but not essential
  • The Residential Support Worker must be ready for a variety of work from day to day, with children who have differing needs and schools with differing policies regarding behaviour, marking and safeguarding.
  • Able to communicate effectively with both staff and students, helping to understand a child's specific needs and how best to help them moving forward.
