Set in stunning grounds which comprises a beautiful lake, café and fully equipped state of the art gym. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Finance Manager to join a rapidly growing and successful SME based near Towcester in Northamptonshire. The role will suit an individual with a high level of attention-to-detail and organisation skills, with experience of working within an Accounts, Bookkeeper or Finance Management position. You will have a commercial approach and be able to work independently. Reporting to the CEO and Financial Controller you will be responsible for looking after the day to day accounts within the company. You will be expected to process all financial data and take ownership of all financial queries. The role will be focused on tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will be committed, self-motivated, and adaptable and be able to work with minimum supervision. This is a very busy and challenging role working within an open plan office
Duties and responsibilities
* Sales Ledger – Generate invoices, debtor statements, billing checks/summaries
* Sales Administration – Add invoices to customer portals, check sim providers, check invoice/commission report against the company
* Purchase Ledger – Raise POs, checking of POs against supplier services/estimates
* Credit control – Analysis and reports
* Customer credit checks
* Bank reconciliation
* VAT returns
* Management accounts preparation - run off monthly and ad-hoc management reports
* Collating salary information and forwarding it onto payroll
* Experience in producing and talking through figures at board meetings
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
Experience and qualifications
* An experienced SME Finance manager / Bookkeeper – Minimum of 4/5 years’ experience is essential
* PQ or QBE with good all-round finance abilities
* A positive and can-do attitude
* Solutions focused
* Demonstrate proven numeracy and literacy
* Competent in Microsoft packages to include Strong Excel skills
* Xero systems experience would be advantageous and preferably knowledge of Dynamics but not essential
* Proactive and reactive
* Hands-on approach/team player
* A flexible approach to working hours is required.
* A vehicle is essential due to the office location
* A full DBS check will be required for this position
Working hours: 9 am – pm Monday to Friday hours - 1-hour lunch
Salary: circa £35k doe
