Programme Management Office Coordinator

Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Edinburgh to recruit for a Programme Management Office Coordinator in the Public Sector on a temporary basis for 6 Months with potential extension.

Due to current circumstances this role will be based remotely.
D/R: £200 - £243 (Inside IR35)

Main Duties

  • Working on a programme relating to the Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme
  • Provide comprehensive support to the Programme Functions, including facilitation and administration of meetings, workshops, and other team related matters.
  • Support the Programme Office Lead with monitoring and management of all Programme Management processes, including the following:
  • Programme milestone plans and reporting tools
  • Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (RAID) log
  • Fortnightly, Monthly, Programme Board, and any ad hoc status reports for the Programme Team, Programme Board, and stakeholders.
  • Analyse project information to ensure any risks or issues are escalated appropriately, and to identify better ways to support the Programme with decision-making
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure management processes are effectively delivered and information is effectively communicated
  • Facilitate and support governance processes, such as gateway reviews, check point reviews and health-checks, to validate that programme and project activities are on-track for delivery per plans and highlight any areas of risk
  • Support the Programme Management Office Lead with monitoring the programme budget, including the receipt of all invoices

Essential

  • Proven work experience as a Programme or Project Analyst Coordinator or similar role and familiarity with risk management, quality assurance control and other project management processes. Prince 2 Foundation qualification or recognised equivalent.
  • Strong planning, organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage and deliver multiple competing demands to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with a wide-range of people and work as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all forms of communication methods and tools
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify opportunities to improve management processes or reports and pre-empt and solve problems.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Office365.

Desirable

  • Experience of working within an infrastructure project/ programme environment.
  • Experience of conducting assurances or project audits
  • An understanding of the digital infrastructure market in the UK and beyond.
  • An awareness of the Reaching 100% Programme and its place in the wider Digital Strategy
