POSITION:Psychotherapist / Child Psychotherapist

SALARY:Fees on sessional basis £40 per hour session with therapy room provided

HOURS:Self Employed Associate Agreement -Flexible to Suit (4hrs – 16hrs per week)

LOCATION:Location optional:Tynemouth based clinic – work throughout the North East

JOB ROLE:

Select Psychology are calling experienced and qualified Psychotherapists / Child Psychotherapists to join our growing private mental health practice in the North East of England.

Applicants must demonstrate essential requirements from the job description, key elements of this include;

  • Qualification as a Psychotherapist / Child Psychotherapist
  • Registered / Accredited to UKCP, BACP, ATF or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with adults and/or children presenting with a broad range of issues.

The successful candidate would be based at our Tynemouth Clinic and/or, where logistically practical, work from other selected locations, such as:

  • Tyne & Wear – Gosforth
  • Northumberland – Hexham
  • County Durham – Sacriston (Durham)
  • Other North East locations available where practical

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCES AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Qualification as a Psychotherapist / Child Psychotherapist
  • Registered / Accredited to UKCP, BACP, ATF or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with adults and/or children presenting with a broad range of issues.
  • You will be required to hold professional indemnity insurance for your area of practice
  • You are expected to have the clinical and interpersonal skills to independently deliver, to the level of excellence and influenced by relevant guidance and frameworks, psychological assessment and treatment in a variety of modalities.
  • You will be able to gain the trust of and build confidence in clients in order for treatments and interventions to be successful.

This opportunity would also suit those wishing to have a supportive environment to take on a few appointments per week to work alongside other commitments, such as, NHS work or other private work.
