As our**Business Development Executive**, you will support the sales team to proactively win new clients and revenue for the company. To do this, the role requires excellent customer service to all clients, prospect clients, internal and external customers. You’ll assist the sales team to maximise business opportunities by using best practices, take ownership of Forward Finance deals, and deliver the required target of Forward Finance deals and minimum income.

Your key duties as our**Business Development Executive will include:**

  • Supporting the core BDM’s including construction and niche product specialists and where appropriate, supporting corporate managers to aid individual development

  • Achieving sales team targets of new deals and minimum fees, attending joint sales meetings with BDM’s and prospective clients, researching prospects, completing file notes and completing risk templates

  • Originating and delivering Forward Finance deals

  • Developing knowledge and understanding of the asset-based finance industry including Bibby products and services, clients, competitors, introducers, risks, client industry and markets

  • Supporting and liaising with the sales team to fully understand legal documents, demonstrating an ability to raise documentation and complete sign-ups with the prospect

  • Maintaining and updating CRM and Olympus to ensure that records are kept in a timely manner

  • Promoting and representing the Bibby brand and services, demonstrating you are an ambassador for Bibby Financial Services

  • Building and maintaining new relationships with introductory sources for example, lapsed introducers, financial brokers, insolvency practitioners, accountants, banks, etc

  • Attending networking events and identifying and securing opportunities for new business and contacts

What we are looking for in our ideal**Business Development Executive:**

  • Proven experience of working in a customer-focused environment

  • IT and Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel

  • Good numeracy and literacy

  • Customer service skills

  • Planning and organisational skills

  • The ability to work alone whilst being a team player
