Female Support Worker – Bank Hours St Austell, Cornwall About Us Maximising potential for over 20 years, Westcountry Case Management provides a specialist case management service that helps individuals recruit their own support workers. We are now looking for a Female Support Worker to join an existing team in St Austell, working bank hours as and when required. Permanent hours may become available in the future. The Benefits - Salary of £ per hour (rising to £ per hour after probation period) - Sleep shifts paid at National Living Wage rates (currently £ per hour) - Make a genuine difference to someone’s life - Statutory holiday and benefits The Role As a Female Support Worker, you’ll provide high-quality care to our client, a young woman with cerebral palsy. Our client enjoys spending time in her sensory room, using her computer and getting involved in cooking and art activities. You’ll support her, both in her home and out in the community. You’ll join her on trips, as well as when she carries out her physiotherapy programme and attends hydrotherapy and rebound therapy. She has a friendly and co-operative personality and uses facial expression and switches to communicate. About You To be considered as a Female Support Worker, you’ll need: - A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle - The willingness to learn new skills - A positive and enthusiastic approach - Great communication skills Being female is deemed to be a genuine occupational requirement due to the personal care nature of the role. As such, only female applicants will be progressed. This post is compliant with Paragraph 1, Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 relating to Occupational Requirements. Previous care experience would be beneficial to your application.
