To be considered for this role as a Functional Skills Tutor you'll be a Functional Skills specialist who really dedicates themselves to ensuring their learners have the best possible support to ensure they complete the functional skills element of their training and apprenticeships.
Working from home as a Functional Skills Tutor, you'll be travelling to locations throughout the East Midlands areas to deliver functional skills training to learners as part of apprenticeship and employability programmes. Mileage is paid at 30p per mile.
Working from home means you will manage your own diary and this company is known for offering flexibility so their employees can cope with the demands of their family and personal life.
However, much of your teaching will be online, but some will be classroom based so you'll have a chance to personally interact with your learners, particularly those who need extra support. Some of your learners may need more support and you'll be the sort of person who achieves great job satisfaction watching someone who is struggling, grasp the concept and then watch their confidence grow.
You'd be working for a well established training provider who has seen steady growth over the last few years. Operating within a buoyant and rapidly expanding industry sector, this company has a reputation as an industry specialist and this has substantially contributed to their ongoing success.
Your employer, as a forward thinking, Ofsted Grade Good training provider will require you to work to the new Functional Skills Reforms. They will also offer you great continual professional development to ensure your professional skills are always improving.
