Just Food Recruitment, part of The JFR Group are recruiting for a IT Business Technician for a FMCG Manufacturing company based in East Nottinghamshire.

Main Duties of the role:

To provide overall IT support, covering both infrastructure and applications, to the business as needed. To regularly review and suggest improvements/upgrades to companywide IT systems. To create new and provide support for existing reports for the business users as required.

Strategic Input and Business Improvement

Identify and recommend new ways of working & systems which benefit the client
Demonstrate an active engagement, looking for ways to improve systems & processes to drive commercial benefit Product Quality/KPIs

Minimise system downtime through efficient and effective planning & issue resolution
Ensure support and reporting requirements are prioritised and resolved effectively
Ensure all sign off procedures are followed
Other duties required to meet the prevailing needs of the business Effective Management

Ability to plan and fully understand workload on a short, medium and longer term basis, pro-actively managing critical activities in order to not let customers down
Pre-empt issues through effective communication
Plan for periods of increase volume and exceptional projects
Ensure that the "housekeeping" is up to date Relationship Management (Internal and External)

Establish key working relationships with colleagues across all areas of the business
Liaise with and potentially manage 3rd party providers (TecMan, ACS etc) Demonstrate Technical Knowledge

Understand systems used by the business (Business Central, SDL, Access, Excel, SQL server, Microsoft Office 365)
Issue fix printers, laptops, desktops and liaise with Lance Hicks (ACS) on network and server related issues as appropriate
Ability to use Business Central, Power BI and Excel with SQL Views to create and run reports
Understand the data entities and relationships between them to create effective reporting
Understand the basics of the production environment at Consuma.
Understand, and develop, SOPs as needed, suggesting improvements where applicable Reporting

To provide the relevant reporting required by the business, in a timely manner

Experience of NAV/Business Central - essential
Experience of IT infrastructure and hardware - essential
Experience of Power BI - desirable
